24th March 2012: Youth Rangers Geology and Caving

In the morning I led the Rangers, Sarah, Andrew and volunteer leaders on a geologically themed walk from Doward Park campsite to Biblins via King Arthur's Cave, Little Doward and the right bank of the Wye. On the riverbank we met friends Mark and Kath, who carried out First Aid training with the Rangers earlier in the year. After lunch at Biblins we were taken caving and mine exploring by two local guides; we abseiled - or were lowered - through a narrow cleft into Pancake Cave, as was Matt Baker on Countryfile a few weeks earlier. Photos and comment will appear on the Youth Rangers blog, which you can access here.
